His 22-year career includes stints with Customs brokers/freight forwarders, northern border operations, international customer liaison manager, a multinational retailer and consulting operations. In these roles, he gained extensive insight into Customs programs such as Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), Importer Self-Assessment (ISA), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT). His hands-on experience with other government agencies such as Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Department of Transportation (DOT) and US Fish and Wildlife (FWS) including the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) proves invaluable for clients trading in affected products.

Brad’s collaborative approach facilitates involvement throughout a client’s organization and engages decision-makers in the compliance process. Brad’s progressive career began UPS Supply Chain Solutions (UPS-SCS), formerly known as Fritz Companies, as a release clerk on the northern border and quickly progressed to North American Liaison Manager-Montreal then Regional Import Manager-Dallas, TX. Brad joined Braumiller Consulting after serving as the Director of Trade Compliance and International Logistics at Fossil. This role further enhanced his knowledge on importer/exporter policies and procedures, broker management, carrier management, contract negotiations, and transportation network design.

Brad has been a Licensed Customs Broker since 1996.
